Call me nosey, but I’m drawn to imperfect unpolished moments, like people-watching.
It’s where I most love to point and shoot my camera.
My favourite scenes are watching others do that thing they love. It doesn’t matter that they’re strangers. Seeing them slip into that almost otherworldly state of joy, brings me joy.
Flow.
That’s where they slip off too.
Flow.
The feeling is like a nod from the universe, the ancestors or whom you feel anchored to.
A nod that says, ‘you’re on your path’.
Watching and snapping those sacred little moments reminds me that someday soon…
I’ll (re)discover mine.
See, I believe everyone has a gift tucked away. And your life’s mission is: to find it.
That and sharing it with your world. Not in a viral, algorithmic-y type of way. But in a way that lifts up your community.
The clues are there.
Just look at how we’re wired and how we’ve survived.
Timeless ancestral stories seem to support this too.
Apparently, this is just one reason why grandparents and grandchildren are so close. I’m talking soulfully bound and cosmically close. Conferring messages like passing batons as journeys begin and end.
Messages buried deep within.
Sometimes finding your flow; your thing, your purpose is a bit like the Princess and the Frog story.
Another clue, maybe?
Anyway, to help you remember you’ve gotta “kiss” a lot of things. For instance, pivoting into a new job, a new hobby or making new friends.
Even revisiting the things, you once had a dalliance with.
But in the meantime, I’m leaving you with a few breadcrumbs.
- What’s that thing you do that makes time stand still?
- What energises you and makes you feel deliriously alive?
- What’s the one thing you’d do, whether praised or unpaid?
- What have you’ve intuitively known on a soul level that is a bit of you?
